An 87-years-old woman is dead after losing control of her vehicle on a wet road on Saturday.
At around noon, the woman, whose name is being withheld by police, was 15 kilometres east of Merritt travelling alone on Highway 97C eastbound toward Kelowna.
She lost control of her vehicle, went off the road and crashed into a hydro pole.
Central Interior Traffic Services is investigating, according to a news release.
