Brandy Cowell found alive on Vancouver Island

The Merritt mom who was reported missing last week has been located on Vancouver Island.

RCMP found Brandy Deann Cowell, 32 and boyfriend Robert Finley Bishop in Oceanside B.C. today and are currently interviewing the couple, who have been sought by police for just over a week.

Earlier today, RCMP gave a press conference in Merritt, showing reporters footage of Bishop entering a Fas Gas store in Trail, B.C., where he purchased what police believe to be cigarettes or a calling card.

The search for Cowell, who was reported missing by her parents on Sept. 7, lasted approximately 10 days. Police received tips from all over the province, including from the Lower Mainland and Trail.
