RCMP

Missing Merritt woman Brandy Deann Cowell (left) and boyfriend Robert Finley Bishop (right). The couple may be headed to Kamloops.

RCMP are investigating the disappearance of 32-year-old Brandy Deann Cowell of Merritt, whose disappearance is said to be "suspicious" and "unusual," according to her parents.

Cowell, who was first reported as missing by her parents on Sept. 6, may be headed towards Kamloops with her boyfriend, Robert Finley Bishop, who is known to police.

Cowell was last heard from on Sept. 1 after calling home to advise she was headed to Vancouver with Bishop, but planned to return to Merritt to take her son to his first day of school.

RCMP said, in a press release today, preliminary investigation has determined that Brandy made the phone call to her parents from a pay phone in Princeton. She and her boyfriend have been known to frequent the Kamloops Area.

Cowell is Caucasian with long brown hair, green eyes, 5 feet 3 inches (160 cm) tall, and weighs 139 pounds (63 kg).

Bishop is Caucasian, 34 years old, with brown hair, blue eyes, 6 feet 1 inch (185 cm) tall, and weighs 221 pounds (100 kg).

The couple is believed to be traveling in a red four-door 2008 Dodge Charger with B.C. licence plate number 323 RHK. The above photo of the vehicle is not the actual vehicle, but resembles the one that Brandy and Robert may be driving.

Anyone with information is asked to call Merritt RCMP at 250-378-4262.
