Bombers—they are hatching all over now.
Oh ya, bombers are very large chironamids in No. 10 and No. 8 sizes.
Very good catches reported at, Tunkwa, Leighton, Mamette.
Shall we say kickin' butt.
Mizzoula Lake is fishing well with "pretty pink lures" for rainbows and Kokanee, according to the all-lady crew that was in yesterday. Limits in two hours, they say. Trolling slow with an electric motor was the preferred method.
Panfry Kokanee at Nicola have been the norm.
Stump was fishing well late last week. Chironis and dragons.
Dragon nymphs have been producing just about everywhere.
Lead core lines have been paying off for trollers during the heat of the day.
The rivers are fishing full on now. Dry flies on the Thompsons' well as stonefly nymphs, my favourite.
Salmon on the lower Fraser have been very good. We are hoping to get an opening soon as well.
The Jacks are starting to come in now as well. Roe under a float is the best for these.
Sturgeon have been steady also. Dew worms and roe are good bets for these swimming dinosaurs.
See you out there on the weekend!
