Fraser-Nicola second highest constituency for anti-HST signatures

Voters in the Fraser-Nicola electoral district have spoken loudly to Victoria.

The 9,460 signatures collected by volunteer canvassers have the district earning the second highest amount of anti-HST signatures in the province.

“We submitted the balance of our signed petitions to Bill Vander Zalm on Monday,” said volunteer Shirley Rhodes.

“I am pleased to say that 9460, or 46% percent of the registered voters in Fraser-Nicola signed the petition."

The Kootenay West district won first place honours with just under 16,000 signatures, while Boundary-Similkameen came in third with just over 12,000 signatures.
