QUESTION OF THE WEEK

Hats off to off-duty repairman

Dear Editor:
On any given day, I can count numerous instances of people being taken advantage of, whether it’s the price of gas, groceries, taxes, or their good nature. However, today I watched just the opposite.
It started out as a regular day in the pharmacy. One of our senior customers came in driving his scooter, and we happened to notice he had a flat tire. After getting him seated on a bench, I began to phone around to see who or how we could get this scooter tire fixed.
My first call to one tire shop brought no results. The second call was to another tire shop. I was asked the size of the tire and if it had a tube. A gentleman informed me he would send the service truck right over. A few minutes later, Graham arrived, took the wheel off and put the scooter on a block, said he’d be right back and returned a few minutes later with the tire fixed. He put it back on-and here is the clincher-he wouldn’t take any money from the customer. He told the older gentleman to have a good day and he went on his way. Needless to say, this was exceptional road service.
Hats off to the staff for your wonderful, kind service. I am not the only one that will shop at this business from now on. Numerous staff and customers were amazed.
Remember, what goes around comes around in this world.
