Water meters come in time for possible drought year in Merritt

Dear Editor:
I want to thank the people in Merritt with installed meters who opted to participate in the water use study. This is a commitment and your time and effort is appreciated. Valuable statistics on actual household use will be the result and findings will be reported when complete. I also want to thank the staff at City Hall for their invaluable assistance. As always, thanks to Al Clark for his excellent promotion of this project. It is too soon to tell, but 2010 may be another drought year. Fortunately, there is a growing awareness of the need to protect our aquifer so there is enough water for all.
Thank you.

Ginny Prowal
Chairperson- Water Resource Advisory Committee
