Merritt woman charged with break and enter and stolen property

A Merritt woman is facing charges of breaking and entering as well as possession of stolen property.

At approximately 10:45 p.m. last Wednesday night, Merritt RCMP apprehended at 46-year-old Merritt woman after receiving a report of a person going through vehicles in the 2200 block of Garcia Street.

“It was ascertained that the items in her possession in fact did not belong to her,” said RCMP Sgt. Dave Nassichuk in a press release issued today.

The matter is still under investigation.
