Cents captain Jordan Soquila averaged two points per game during the Centennials' three game win streak.

The Centennials played there first of three games in three nights on the road in Salmon Arm Friday, December 18th. Both teams had been blanked by the Victoria Grizzlies 4 – 0 in each of their prior games.

Salmon Arm scored two early goals, but Cents' captain Jordan Soquila tallied twice in the first, and the Silverbacks clung to a one-goal lead after the first period. The Cents dominated play, outshooting the Silverbacks 9 - 2 in a rough second period that featured three fights. When the dust had settled Stephen Wall and Jeff Jones scored in a thirty second span to put the visiting Cents up 4 – 3.

11 Centennials factored in to four goals in the third period to give them eight on the night. Silverback's goalie Tony Ierfino remained in the crease for all eight goals against. The Cents reached the eight-goal plateau for the second time this season, battling to an 8 – 4 win, their second widest margin of victory this season. The Cents outshot Salmon Arm 32 – 23 in their own building, and limited BCHL scoring leader Mark Zengerle to just one assist on the night.

The Cents returned home Saturday to face the BCHL Coastal Conference goals-against leaders', the Powell River Kings, who were recently given honourable mention in the CJHL Top 20 list while going 8-1-1 in their past 10 games.

The scoreboard remained even at 0's until Cents defenseman Steve Tresierra scooped a loose puck in the neutral zone, evaded three Kings and finished with a nifty deke past goaltender Michael Garteig to put the home team up one at 9:20 of the second period. The visiting Kings would score before the period was out only to have the goal disallowed upon further review. Captain Soquila capped off a scoring play from Jeff Jones and Andrew Pickering to cement the victory at 15:34 of the third period. Cents goalie Keith Hamilton was named first star after recording his first shutout of the season, blanking the Kings 2 – 0.

The Cents played their final game before Christmas break Sunday afternoon at home against Prince George. Long-time season-ticket holder Elva Reid dropped the puck at a ceremonial opening face-off after being presented a lifetime pass by Cents marketing manager Madison Canuel.

The Cents trailed the fifth place Spruce Kings by two points going in to the game. A win would put them in to fifth ahead of there Cariboo rival. Cole Holowenko got the start in net returning from assignment with the Chilliwack Bruins of the WHL.

Spruce Kings' standout defenseman Wes McLeod opened the scoring in a goalmouth scramble 44 seconds into the game.

Dustin Johnson stole a loose puck at the top of the circle and took his time before unleashing a cannonating slap shot past Prince George goalie Jason Greenwell. Nick DeSousa put the visitors ahead only 20 seconds later, but Johnson would again beat Greenwell blocker side on a spin-o-rama from the short side.

Cents forward Jeff Jones scored a highlight reel goal at 4:56 of the second period to put the home team in front 3 – 2.

Prince George peppered Holowenko with 14 shots in the period, and evened the game when Josh Piniero labeled home a one-time feed from Brad Bourke while Cents defenseman Jeff Zmurchyk looked on from the penalty box.

The Spruce Kings opened the scoring at 4:38 in the third period to pull ahead by a goal, and held that lead until Johnson scored his hat trick goal at 14:49 from Jones and Andrew Pickering. David Sabey, who has played in all situations since last month's coaching change, picked up a loose puck in his own end, carried the offensive zone before dropping the puck between his legs to Johnson, who scored his fourth goal of the game to lead his team to a 5 – 4 victory.

Johnson, who sat out Saturday's contest, was a game time decision. He was penciled in on the Cents fourth line and expected limited minutes, but went on to record his second ‘Dustin Johnson Special' (four goals and a fight) of the season.

Johnson, Jones and Soquila swept the three-star selection for the home side, combining for seven points (5G-2A-7pt.) and two fights.

The game tied personal and team marks for the season. Forward Dustin Johnson equaled last years' points total with his fourth goal of the night to give him 35 on the season. Saturday's win was the Cents 13th of the season, tying last years' total in just 37 games this season. Sunday's win was also their third consecutive win; the first time they've won three-straight in over two seasons. The team is 5-4-0-1 in its last 10 games and are 6-4-0-1 under new coach Luke Pierce.
