The Christmas spirit is alive and well in Merritt..
As coordinator of the soup-making for the soup kitchen I was beginning to fret when informed that the soup-maker for Monday, Nov. 30 was not able to be there.
“Be anxious for nothing,” the good book says. Soon we got a phone call from the Merritt Country Christmas committee. They donated to us what they had not used at the big craft faair in the Civic Centre – plenty of fresh soup and chili.
All our needs are being supplied for the Christmas dinner as well.
Thank you community of Merritt, and merry Christmas to all!
